What is the Enneagram
What if you had a tool to help you understand who you are? What if it allowed you to see the world through the eyes of those you love and dramatically improved your relationships with them?
Welcome to the Enneagram, an ancient personality type system that describes how human beings are wired.
Used by therapists, clergy, and business consultants around the globe, the Enneagram teaches that there are nine different personality styles, one of which we naturally gravitate toward and adopt in childhood to cope and feel safe. Each type has a distinct worldview and an underlying motivation that powerfully influences how that type thinks, feels and behaves. Unlike other personality typing systems, the Enneagram shows us who we are at both our best and worst and suggests ways we can relax our grip on the self-defeating behaviors that prevent us from becoming our best, most authentic selves.
It leads us into places of spiritual self-discovery we would never have found on our own, and paves the way for us to better love and extend compassion to ourselves and others.
The first 11 episodes of the Road Back to You podcast will give you an overview and deeper understanding of each of the nine personality types.
